We Serve an Awesome God!

Hello everyone! My name is Jaylyn Gramer, and I am the baby of the Mombasa mission team! I'm a freshman Allied Health major at Texas A&M University. I plan to become a nurse and use my training for medical missions, whether that be here in the United States or in a foreign country. I am willing to go wherever God calls me. I have a heart for foreign missions, and it has been my dream for quite a while to go to Africa. There is no doubt that God has called me to Mombasa with this group. I already feel connected with the people there, and I've never even met them. I have been on two different mission trips to Peru and two different mission trips to Mexico. God used all of these opportunities to work in extremely different but incredible ways, and I know He has amazing plans for this trip. I cannot contain my excitement to go to Kenya, and I will do whatever it takes to get there. God is so faithful, and I trust Him to provide for me. We are called to share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone, and I want to fulfill that purpose. I want people to know God and to find peace, hope, and perfect love in Him alone, and nothing is more important than sharing this good news with them! I am on fire with passion for my sovereign God and Heavenly Father, and nothing thrills me more than to take His gospel to the ends of the earth.

We serve a BIG God!!

Myself and my youngest daughter Kennedy
Hi!  My name is Rachel Driskell and I am one of the team members going to Mombasa, Kenya this July!
I am so excited to be doing this.  I have felt a calling from the Lord for several years and have always just said 'someday'.  I then had a good friend and her husband take a trip to Uganda earlier this year, and she told me, "I've been saying someday for so long and then I realized God was saying GO NOW!" So after much prayer I realized He was telling me the same thing! Go to the Nations and Proclaim MY name, says the Lord!  So that it what I am doing!  I am a wife, and a mother to 5 children, I am born and raised in Bryan, TX, and I am the oldest on the team at the ripe old age of 26 (I'll be 27 by July!) and I feel like there is a reason I was called to go with this younger crowd.
I have wanted to be a mom since I can remember, and the Lord has definitely blessed me in this area!  I so look forward to this trip where I get to play with the children at the school where we will be working.
My full time job is working for our church and one of my many titles here is Children Ministry Assistant!  So how awesome is it that I learned we will be doing crafts and games and making our own bible lessons for the children in Africa!  Definitely right up my alley!  I cannot wait and feel so amazingly blessed to be able to be apart of this team! And in turn I hope I can bless others while we are there.

God bless!
Rachel Driskell
