I don't really know how to start this blog other than to say that God is so faithful and truly does work in mysterious mysterious ways. So today I am writing a check to pay for my plane ticket. Although I have raised about half of the money, I still have to pay a significant amount of money out of my own pocket (more than I can really afford). Even though I had committed to God that I would be willing to give everything to go to Kenya, I was still discouraged that I hadn't raised the full amount. Trying to keep a positive attitude about it, and never losing trust that God was in control, I came home from class prepared to write the check. I checked the mailbox on the way to see if there were any last minute donations, but the mailbox was empty. I walked through the door of my apartment, and on the counter there was an envelope. All it said was Jaylyn Gramer. For Kenya. I opened the envelope, and in it was $500 in cash. No note or anything. Just my name and the money. I was utterly shocked to say the least. I immediately praised God and was laughing with disbelief. I tried to figure out who could've possibly given me the money, and I really wish I had someone to thank. Of course I thank God, but I also thank the person who was obedient to Him and gave such a large amount of money. They really have no idea how much this means. Whoever gave me the money obviously wants to be anonymous, and I know they would want me to give God all the glory, so that's what I'm doing! Praise God for He IS faithful!
In Christ,
Jaylyn Gramer
